Automatic Doors for Compliance
Automatic Doors form part of the means of egress from a building and are often the final exit. This workshop looks at the requirements of SS3.1 Automatic Doors for Building Warrant of Fitness Compliance and general safety components.
This workshop will look at the requirements of SS3.1 Automatic Doors for compliance and it will cover the following:
- Building Act and Fire and Emergency NZ Act
- NZ Building Code clauses C4 and D1
- Inspection and Maintenace requirements with reference to the relevant Standards and manufacturers requirements
- Common issues
- Current best practices
The workshop is designed for both IQP’s and Building Compliance Officials. Whether you are new or experienced in the industry this is a good course designed to upskill or refresh your skills.
Cost: Members $425+GST and Non-members $550+GST
The course includes a post course assessment. On completion of the assessment, you will be awarded a Certificate of completion and 4.5 hours of CPD.
Our presenter - Terry Dartnall
Terry spent over 15 years in the door service industry and every day throws up fresh challenges. Terry has learnt over the years that today's crisis becomes a learning point the next day once the issue is resolved.
Terry has extensive knowledge and involvement in the industry around Building Compliance and what is / isn't compliant and how compliance issues can be resolved. As a result, Terry has had the opportunity to present at several functions and national conventions around this topic.
