Seminars

We are proud to announce the release of our new Code of Practice Passive Fire Protection Inspections. This is the result of significant effort by our Working Group, supported by the valuable feedback provided by our members. We hope that this document can feed into the Compliance Schedule Handbook to help guide IQP’s and BWOF Auditors through the challenges they face doing Passive Fire Protection Inspections. We understand the challenges with both the size of some buildings, time taken to undertake inspections and the cost associated with it. We believe that this document is a workable solution for the industry.

This seminar is an opportunity to introduce the COP and to walk IQP’s BWOF Auditors and others through the various chapters and fully explain the process of using the COP. It will be a hands on workshop where we will go through the COP and also work through an example.

All members and non-members are welcome to attend at no cost - CPD available to ABC members only.

This event is scheduled to take place immediately after our Canterbury Regional Forum.

If you wish to attend both the Forum and Roadshow please follow this link to register.

If you wish to only attend the COP Roadshow, please register above or below.

OUR PRESENTERS :

Rob is a Chartered Professional Fire Engineer and Director of Nelligan Consulting Engineers, a consultancy firm based on Auckland's NorthShore.

He has worked in the fire safety industry for the last 16 years across a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial projects. These projects include a 40-storey building in Auckland's CBD and a 6 storey hotel.

More recently he has been talking to many IQP and building compliance firms about passive fire and how best to improve the safety of our buildings. Rob presented the draft COP Passive Fire Protection Inspections working document at the ABC Conference in July earlier this year.
