The workshop is designed to:

- Highlight different approaches taken across councils
- Identify common challenges and provide an opportunity to think outside the box
- Promote consistency and confidence in decision making
Attendees will have the opportunity to present their group’s thinking, compare perspectives, and contribute to a broader conversation about how we can collectively improve outcomes.

What to expect on the lab tour.
- Witness Cone Calorimeter test – be provided with a test report and information on how that relates to the Building Code – group number determination for surface finishes.
- Witness a non-combustibility test – be provided with a test report and information on how that relates to the Building Code – group number determination for surface finishes.
- An AS1530.4 Section 10 penetrations test setup on the furnace with all the thermocouples attached. A video showing failures of specimens that we have witnessed this would be as series of short clips of specimen failures during testing, next to a burnt sample so delegates can get up close and personal with. The furnace would be open so delegates could view inside the furnace. This would then allow for the attendees to both see the treatment, and in detail the requirements of AS1530.4.
